About The Author

Graeme Hosking is an expert on building, running and transforming large operations. He has worked as a chief operating officer and senior executive in financial services companies around the world. In the mid-1990s, he built and launched the first online banking service for the major UK bank Barclays. During the global financial crisis, he built and ran the global operations team managing payments, international trade and market trading for ANZ’s largest customers across 13 countries.

Having worked out how to make “big business” work well, in 2016 he pivoted into a fintech start-up, and from there realised his passion was helping new businesses to grow fast and successfully. He has led scale-up initiatives from pilot to national scale in the UK and Australia, and advises a wide range of businesses on their scale-up plans.

He is a mentor for the fintech accelerator hub Stone & Chalk in both Sydney and Melbourne, and writes regularly on scale-up and other general business management topics.
